Multi-Location Merchant Services

Merchant Services for Businesses With More Than One Location

When you open a second or third location, payments often grow in pieces: a different processor at each store, different terminals, different statements and different rules for card fees. We help owners bring every location onto one setup, so each store runs the same way and you deal with one team.

No sales pitch. Just a clear look at what you have now and what one setup could look like.

    What "one setup" means

    • One point of contact. One bilingual team for every location, in English and Spanish. No separate call centers for each store.
    • One review of all your statements. Send us each location's current statement and we review them side by side, so you can compare what each store pays today.
    • A merchant account for each store. Each location can have its own merchant account (sometimes called a MID, or merchant ID), all under one relationship with Pine. That way each store's deposits and reporting can stay separate, while you deal with one team.
    • Combined reporting where your equipment supports it. Depending on your POS and terminals, you may also be able to see sales across all locations together.
    • The same pricing program at every store. If you choose dual pricing or a cash discount, it is set up the same way at each location, with the same signs, the same receipt wording and the same staff training.
    • The same equipment family. Running the same terminals or POS at every location makes training, support and reporting simpler.

Dual pricing and cash discount, rolled out the same way at every store

With dual pricing (a cash price and a card price), you pay 0% on every card payment, keyed-in and invoices included. A cash discount program works in a similar way. See how both work on our zero-fee processing page.

With more than one location, consistency matters. A program that is set up one way at one store and another way at the next confuses customers and staff, and makes compliance harder. We set each location up the same way:

    • Both prices are posted before the sale.
    • Clear signs at every register and door. Free English and Spanish cash discount signs are available.
    • Clean receipts that show the price the customer chose.
    • One set of staff instructions for every store.

Not every business wants dual pricing, and that's OK. Traditional pricing is also available.

About surcharging: surcharging (adding a fee to card payments) follows different rules from dual pricing, and those rules vary by state and by card brand. If you are considering it for any location, verify the current rules in each state where you operate. We can't give legal advice. Learn more in cash discount vs. dual pricing vs. surcharging.

    Supported terminals and software

We work with Clover, Valor, Dejavoo and Verifone terminals, and with Biller Genie and QuickBooks for invoices. Clover with built-in dual pricing is a good fit for groups that want the same POS at every store. New equipment may be included for qualifying accounts. We'll tell you up front what applies to your locations.

    Built for restaurant groups

Restaurants with two or more locations deal with many card payments, tips and busy shifts. A single setup can help with:

    • The same menu prices and card-price display at each location
    • Tip setup that can be tailored to your type of restaurant and how each location works
    • One team to call when a terminal goes down during service, in English or Spanish

Built for multi-bay and multi-shop auto owners

Auto repair shops often take large tickets, keyed-in payments and invoices. With more than one shop or several bays, a single setup can help with:

    • The same dual pricing program on in-person, keyed-in and invoiced payments
    • Invoicing through Biller Genie or QuickBooks, so customers can pay by card or ACH
    • One review of every shop's statement, so you can see what each location really pays

Nationwide service, local in South Florida

We serve businesses with multiple locations nationwide, by phone and email. In Miami and South Florida we also offer local, in-person bilingual service.

    Security

Every location uses the same secure setup. Our tools help you stay PCI compliant (PCI is the card industry's security standard) across all your stores.

    How it works

    1. Send your statements. Email a recent statement from each location, or use our statement review form.
    2. Get a side-by-side review. We show what each location pays today, in plain language. Want to check one yourself? Divide total fees by total card volume to get your effective rate. Our guide on how to read a processing statement walks you through it.
    3. Choose your program. Dual pricing, cash discount or traditional pricing, and the equipment that fits each location.
    4. Roll it out store by store. We plan the switch with you, one location at a time or all together.

    Frequently asked questions

Can each location have its own merchant account?

Yes. Each location can have its own merchant account (a MID, or merchant ID) under one relationship with Pine. Each store's deposits and reporting can stay separate, and you still deal with one team. Where your equipment supports it, you may also be able to see sales across all locations together.

Can I move all my locations to one processor if each store uses a different one today?

Often, yes. We start with a free review of each location's current statement, then plan the switch with you. You can move one location at a time or all at once. Approval depends on underwriting for each business.

Can I use dual pricing at every location?

Yes. With dual pricing (a cash price and a card price), you pay 0% on every card payment, and we set it up the same way at each store: both prices posted, clear signs and clean receipts. Rules on how prices are shown can differ by state, so check the current rules in each state where you operate.

Is surcharging allowed in every state where I have a store?

Surcharging rules vary by state and card brand, and they change. Verify the current rules in each state where you operate before adding a surcharge. Dual pricing works differently: both prices are posted before the sale.

Do all my locations need the same terminals?

No, but it helps. We support Clover, Valor, Dejavoo and Verifone terminals. Using the same equipment at every store makes training, support and reporting simpler. New equipment may be included for qualifying accounts.

Do you work with multi-location businesses outside Florida?

Yes. We serve businesses nationwide by phone and email, in English and Spanish. Owners in Miami and South Florida can also get local, in-person service.
